|Company Profile||Almag S.p.A. (founded in 1946) is based in Roncadelle – in the province of Brescia – and is recognized among the European leaders for the production of brass rods.
About 200 people work in its headquarters (an area of 110,000 square meters).
Through its major industrial processes (melting, extrusion and drawing), Almag manufactures a wide range of products, which place themselves among the best ones in Europe as far as their quality level is concerned.

As for the following processing phase on clients’ premises, brass rods are mainly subdivided into:
BRASS RODS FOR MACHINING. The rods for lathes manufactured by ALMAG assure constancy in terms of workability, mechanical characteristics, straightness and surface appearance. The optimized chemical composition limits the wear of the tools and allows setup rapidity as the production line batch changes. The metallurgical characteristics lent to the semifinished product provide for the goals of high durability and finished product efficiency in the specific fields of application. The requirements concerning the sanitariness of the material and the respect of the environment are strong points for the use of these materials thanks to the high economic and sanitary sustainability.
BRASS RODS FOR HOT FORGING. The semifinished product for hot plastic deformation manufactured by ALMAG assure high performances in a wide range of employment both in the forging phase and in the machining phase. The metallurgical characteristics of the semifinished product supplied allow to easily obtain the most favorable features of the forged component in terms of durability, esthetic and functional properties. Sustainability and respect of health and environment are assured through the possibility of almost completely recycling of the production swarfs of the production cycle.
